support and complimentary services.

Our Baby Massage

Baby massage is an experience no parent or baby should miss

Available at MYM Coventry

Our baby massage sessions are not only to teach you the art of baby massage, but also provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for you to spend quality time with your baby and also to meet other parents.Baby can start to attend from 6 weeks of age upwards, although you can massage at home from birth. We find one of the wonders of teaching the sessions is in watching the baby’s develop and grow. We hope you will also.

What are the benefits of baby massage?

Helps parents to spend some quality uninterrupted time with baby
It enhances bonding
Improves the stability of baby’s nervous system
Regular massage will leave baby more alert and sociable when awake.
Massage helps with the relief of colic and digestive problems
It helps your baby to have a sounder longer sleep
It decreases the production of stress hormones in you and baby!
It helps to increase oxygen and nutrient flow to cells (circulation)
As they grow massaged babies tend to be more relaxed and open

Our sessions
Our sessions involve an hour of massage including some sensory play, social play and cuddle time. All you need to bring to the sessions is a couple of towels as we provide all oils and mats. We use organic sunflower oil in our sessions.

Week 1 – Introductions, the beginning of massage, interesting sensory lights, cuddles

Week 2 – Further development of the massage routine, sensory play

Week 3 – Complete the massage routine, socialise with sensory toys

Week 4 – Black and white theme this week plus footprints on your certificate of achievement.

Our sessions

Currently held in our Coventry Pregnancy studio on Albany Road. Our 4 weeks group course includes oils, mats and handouts £30.

Our courses last 4 weeks but can be attended more than once.

One to one sessions

We also provide 1 to 1 sessions. A private session in your home to help you develop the techniques needed for baby massage. Prices start at £45 per hour for people living within a 10 mile radius of Coventry, this also includes a bottle of Organic Sunflower Oil. Please ring for more details – 01455 441036. Up to 5 mummies and babies.

Private group sessions

This is a group of 5 or more parents wanting a session to understand the basics of baby massage and a routine to use in the future. A coffee group, mums and tots group, antenatal group. The 60 minute session will include a handout and all oils for use on the day. The cost per parent would be £10 – £15 depending on the number of attendees. If you have more than 6 in attendance the cost will go down. There is also a travel charge of 60p per mile after the first 10 miles from our Coventry HQ.

Newborn photography

Newborn photography is available in our Coventry Venue – MYM Baby Photo Booth :

Perfect for babies from newborn upwards. Less than 14 days old is the perfect time. Book in and visit our Coventry studio that has been thoughtfully designed to ensure you and your newborn have a fun time with our photographer.

We have a large range of outfits including hats and suits carefully crocheted to ensure a variety of photos can be obtained during your shoot. You can choose your favourite props and then we can begin the shoot… will it be Batman? Mermaid? Bunny? Fairy? or just a beautiful wrap… so much to choose from.

Whats included?

The price includes a 30 minute photoshoot and x8 (6×4) unedited printed images to takeaway on the day.

What if my baby won’t settle? We always advise you try to arrive ensuring your baby has been recently fed and with a dummy (if baby uses one).

I want to purchase all the prints?

This is possible as in addition to the shoot you can purchase the following packages on the day.

All our images are unlicensed so you can take the disc away and edit, play and reproduce as much as you wish.

What does unedited mean?

This means our talented photographers do not edit the images after the photos are taken. This is often the most expensive part of any photoshoot. Therefore all our images are carefully shot to ensure minimal amounts of editing is necessary.

Breastfeeding Support

We are a breastfeeding friendly business and support you to feed in any of our studios.

We can offer one to one support after baby is born and also sessions during pregnancy.

Breastfed babies may have better:

neurological development
lower risk of diabetes
reduced risk of heart disease

More research is needed, but breastfeeding may also protect against:

multiple sclerosis
acute appendicitis
tonsillectomy
for the mother
rheumatoid arthritis

And for the mother, protection against:

rheumatoid arthritis
lower risk of postnatal depression
Osteoporosis

Women who have breastfed are at lower risk of:

breast cancer
ovarian cancer
hip fractures and bone density
